Documentary Filming of the Bob Riedy Chicago Blues Band

On April 17, 2009, The Bob Riedy Chicago Blues Band played only two sets of music, but everyone was an original band member from over three decades ago and some coming from as far away as Germany to participate.

The archetypical Blues Club called the Rhythm Room in Phoenix Arizona is owned by the harp player who filled in with the band for Carey Bell since his passing. Bob Corritore was born and raised in Chicago and took everything he learned to Phoenix and became a success there. Put it all together along with interviews during the breaks and a historic documentary of the Bob Riedy Chicago Blues Band was created to update the one done 35 years ago and only recently discovered.

The Chicago Blues Foundation hopes to screen the two videos as well as videos by other Chicago Artists in their Sponsor's Booth at the 2009 annual Chicago Blues Festival June 12 - 14. For more information, visit www.chicagobluesfoundation.org.
